​Animals like cats, dogs, and small birds like pigeons co-exist with human beings. They are easily available at places where human beings settle. The reason is simple: they are fed by humans, they are easy to pet and they can easily survive. However, sometimes they pose a great risk to humans. Transmission of zoonotic diseases from animals to humans is a big challenge today. COVID pandemic, which put the entire world under lockdown for 2 years, is a recent example of disastrous impact of pathogens that jump from animals to humans. Pigeons, commonly found in urban environments, can pose various health hazards to humans. While these birds are often associated with urban landscapes and may seem harmless, their presence can lead to several health concerns. Those innocuous bird droppings are potential health hazards.​
