How do I know if my pain is due to fatty liver?
GeneralFatty liver is a condition where excess fat accumulates within liver cells, primarily caused by factors such as excessive alcohol consumption (alcoholic fatty liver disease) or obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease - NAFLD). Symptoms may include persistent upper right abdominal pain, which can range from mild discomfort to intense pain in advanced stages of the disease. If pain is accompanied by slow wound healing or unexplained bruising, it might indicate liver damage.
