Red eyes could be due to THIS silent killer
GeneralRed or bloodshot eyes can be a sign of a potentially life-threatening condition - high blood pressure (hypertension). Hypertension, often symptomless, makes the heart work harder and can harm blood vessels. Over time, it can lead to hypertensive retinopathy, damaging the eye's blood vessels. Symptoms might not appear for years, but can include blurred vision.
