Prostrate cancer: Why some men are at risk more than others
GeneralProstate cancer refers to the cancerous growth in the walnut-shaped gland in males that produces the seminal fluid for the transport and nourishment of the sperm. It is one of the most common types of cancer seen in men. "Prostate cancer that's detected early — when it's still confined to the prostate gland — has the best chance for successful treatment," says MayoClinic and highlights that while some types of prostate cancer grow slowly and may need minimal or even no treatment, other types are aggressive and can spread quickly. This makes it important to understand why certain men are at risk of developing prostate cancer.
